PROPRIETES RAPIDES "POLYLIGNE"

Grab the AutoCAD.Cuix of 2014. Open Windows Explorer. Browse to C:\Users\<<username>>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\C3D 2014\enu\Support. Locate Map.cuix

Copy it to another folder where you can work . Copy Map.cuix to a temporary folder.

Rename the AutoCAD.Cuix to AutoCAD.zip . Rename the file from map.cuix to map.zip

Grab this zip out . Extract the files from the zip. View the contents of the extracted folder.

You get a number of cui files including Quickpropertiesroot.cui You will see the various files that make up a cui.

Open this QuickPropertiesRoot.cui in Notepad + + (preferably related to building maintenance . ) It contains 'all' rules serving the Quick Properties .Double click QuickPropertiesRoot.cui. Use Notepad++ (download here: http://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/v6.5.html) to open it. Read the warning and decide if you want to go forward, possibly messing your AutoCAD system up to the point that you will need to re-install, or if you would rather just live with the annoyance of having to use the regular properties window.

Here you have to look for the CIRCLE. Use Find (ctrl-F) to locate "Polyline". You’ll see <QuickObjectType> two lines above.

It is under the part GEOMETRY ( heading in the Quick Properties ) a line containing the property AREA . Change your search to now search for Geometry. Hit find next once. Change to Area and hit find next.

Overall , these four rules : He’s telling you what other lines of code you’ll see when you’re in the right place. Copy those four lines to the clipboard.

-----------------------------

<QuickObjectProperty Dispid="5" CompareByGuid="false">

<ModifiedRev MajorVersion="17" MinorVersion="2" UserVersion="0"/>

<name Xlate="true" UID="XLS_00012354"> Area < / Name >

< / Quick Property Property >

Find the line containing AcDbPolyline ( line 2439 )

Search for AcDbPolyline. It will be on line 1058 as indicated by Notepad++ editor.

Under the heading Geometry ( line 2465) are called subobjects . Move to line 1088 or so.

Duplicate the top 4 lines (in the correct sequence ) in the section after the Geometry rules :

<QuickObjectProperty Dispid="17" CompareByGuid="false">

<ModifiedRev MajorVersion="19" MinorVersion="1" UserVersion="0" />

<Name xlate="true" UID="XLS_191_4E331">Length</Name>

</QuickObjectProperty> Find the section above and then press enter after placing your cursor at the end of the </QuickObjectProperty> line.

Paste what you copied from above.

Now the Global Width attribute 10 . I don’t know what this means.

Clean the area over 11 feature : Looking at the text you pasted. See that Dispid=”5”. Change it to 11.

----------------------------- Your four lines should now look like this:

<QuickObjectProperty Dispid="11" CompareByGuid="false">

<ModifiedRev MajorVersion="17" MinorVersion="2" UserVersion="0"/>

<name Xlate="true" UID="XLS_00012354"> Area < / Name >

< / Quick Property Property >

-----------------------------

Save the file QuickPropertiesRoot.cui Save the file, overwriting the existing.

Make another zip file of separate files ( beware of the existing AutoCAD.zip ) Create a Zip of all the contents that came out of the previous zip.

Rename it back to the AutoCAD.CUIx. Rename the zip you just created and call it Map.CUIx.

In the Support folder of AutoCAD you rename the current AutoCAD.CUIx , ACAD.bak.CUIx and remove the AutoCAD.mnr . In Windows Explorer, go back to the user support folder you accessed before. Rename Map.CUIx to Map.Bak.CUIx. Rename Map.MNR to Map.MNR.Old.

Place the custom AutoCAD.CUIx in supportmap . Copy the Map.CUIx file from the temporary folder to the user support folder.

Restart AutoCAD and as well you get the result as shown in the Annex . Start AutoCAD and see if it works.It did for me.
